Scene 1: Morning Laughter
Ayo-ade woke up early, determined to make Nneoma-okoro laugh. He knew it wouldn't be easy, but he was willing to try anything to see her smile again. He walked into the kitchen, where Nneoma was sipping a cup of coffee, her eyes fixed on the floor. "Hey, beautiful," Ayo said, trying to sound as cheerful as possible. "What's for breakfast?" Nneoma looked up, a hint of a smile on her face. "Just coffee, for now," she replied. Ayo nodded and sat down beside her. "Well, I'm starving. How about we go get some pancakes?" Nneoma raised an eyebrow. "You know I don't eat pancakes, Ayo." Ayo grinned. "Oh, come on. It'll be fun. We can pretend we're in a American movie or something." Nneoma couldn't help but chuckle.
Scene 2: Pancake Adventure
Ayo and Nneoma walked into the pancake house, the aroma of freshly cooked pancakes filling their nostrils. They were greeted by the friendly waitress, who showed them to their table. Ayo ordered a stack of pancakes, while Nneoma opted for a fruit salad. As they waited for their food, Ayo started making silly faces at Nneoma, trying to get her to laugh. She playfully rolled her eyes, but Ayo could see the hint of a smile on her face. When their food arrived, Ayo started eating his pancakes with exaggerated enthusiasm, making Nneoma giggle.
Scene 3: Ifeoma's Visit
As they were finishing up their meal, Ifeoma-okeke walked into the pancake house, a look of surprise on her face. "Ayo, Nneoma, what are you two doing here?" she asked, sitting down at their table. Ayo and Nneoma filled her in on their pancake adventure, and Ifeoma couldn't help but laugh at Ayo's antics. As they chatted, Ayo noticed that Ifeoma seemed a bit distracted, but he didn't think much of it.
Scene 4: Ifeoma's Secret
As they were leaving the pancake house, Ifeoma's phone rang. She excused herself and stepped outside to take the call. Ayo and Nneoma watched as Ifeoma's expression changed from calm to shocked. "What's wrong?" Ayo asked, as Ifeoma walked back to their table. Ifeoma hesitated, before speaking in a low tone. "It's my ex-husband. He's back in town, and he wants to see me." Ayo and Nneoma exchanged a concerned glance.
Scene 5: The Past Catches Up
Ifeoma's eyes seemed to glaze over, as she stared into the distance. "I thought I was done with him," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Ayo and Nneoma listened intently, as Ifeoma told them about her past. It was clear that Ifeoma was still hurting from her previous relationship, and Ayo could see the fear in her eyes.
Scene 6: Ayo's Support
Ayo put a reassuring hand on Ifeoma's shoulder. "We're here for you, Ifeoma. You don't have to face him alone." Ifeoma smiled weakly, grateful for Ayo's support. Nneoma nodded in agreement, and the three of them walked out of the pancake house together, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. But as they walked, Ayo couldn't shake off the feeling that Ifeoma's past was about to catch up with her in a big way. And then, Ifeoma's phone rang again, the screen flashing with a name that made her blood run cold: "Victor".
